I would like some assistance with the use of my Trimble M3 total station and prisim pole. I’m using it to lay out construction points in an x, y, z coordinate system. There are two monuments that I can backsight. I know their x, y and z positions. The total station may be moved to various locations to accommodate the construction. Each time I set up and level the total station I want to backsight to the two monuments and zero my horizontal angle to one of the monuments. Then I want to enter various construction points into the total station and have it tell me the:
Horizontal angle (as referenced from one of the monuments)
Vertical angle
Distance Then I can tell my rodman where to place the construction point. Are there instruction on how to do this?
